CORRELATION BETWEEN HEMOGLOBIN A1C AND SERUM LIPID PROFILE WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES: A CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, action, or both. Patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) have an increased prevalence ofdyslipidemia, which contributes to their high risk cardiovascular (CVDs). This study attempt determine the correlation between hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) and serum lipid profile evaluate importance HbA1c as indicator dyslipidemia Type II mellitus. Methods: The had 240 participants age groups 20-70 years included 80 males 40 females diabetic whereas control 78 42 females. T.cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL were calculated semi automated analyzer LDL VLDL Friedewald’s Formula. was measured turbidMetric Method. Results: Data represented mean ± standard deviation median statistically significant values T. Cholesterol, LDL, HDL, TGs (P< 0.001). There positive HbA1c, TC, TG, LDL-C. value greater than 7.0% significantly higher cholesterol, LDL-C, compared patients up 7.0%. Conclusion: Significant Lipid profiles our suggests that can also be used predictor addition glycemic parameter for prevention complication.

Correlation between Glycated Hemoglobin, Serum Glucose and Serum Lipid Levels in Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract Objective: Diabetes mellitus is the most common metabolic disease. One of the most common problems in diabetic patients is atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease which is induced by hyperlipidemia. Impaired lipid metabolism resulting from uncontrolled hyperglycemia has been implicated in cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients. Also, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) has been rega...

Association between the level of glycosylated hemoglobin and serum lipid profile in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by defect in insulin secretion and action resulting in hyperglycemia. Diabetic patients have deranged body metabolisms particularly for lipids which may result in abnormal levels of serum levels of lipids. Methods: The aim of this study is to find any possible correlation between the the glycosylated hemoglobin and the...

Effect of Chromium Supplementation on Blood Glucose, Hemoglobin A1c, Lipid Profile and Lipid Peroxidation in Type 2 Diabetic Patients

Objective: Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a complex metabolic disorder with adverse cardiovascular risk. Chromium (Cr) is an essential nutrient and its role in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism has not been clarified especially in Iran. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of chromium picolinate administration on blood glucose, HbA1c, lipid profile and lipid peroxidation in type 2 diab...
